GGS HR ensures that applicants for the positions are assessed according to the following criteria:

  • Completing a GGS job application form
  • Submitting a CV with all relevant licences and certificates
  • Submitting Australian citizenship, permanent residency or work permits and sometimes a doctor certificate confirming the applicant is physically and mentally fit to perform the security duty.
  • Background and reference check
  • Licence validity check.
  • GGS Risk manager, Security Operations manager will conduct an interview to assess the applicant knowledge, skills, customer service, risk management, communication skills and presentation.
  • General SOP’s, WHS, security code of conduct, risk management reporting, identification and control.
  • General security operations procedures.
  • Previous experience in relevant position applied for.
  • Compatibility with and understanding of the Security Services culture.
  • Conflict management.
